So long, and thanks for the tunes
It’s hard to think that two decades ago Yellowcard was getting their start down in Jacksonville, Florida. Doesn’t seem like it was that long ago, and really forces me to think about how old I’m getting; but that’s a discussion for another time. With the release of their tenth studio album, Yellowcard, the band has decided to call it quits. Twenty years is a long time to dedicate to anything, so it’s quite an accomplishment to remain a band and keep producing music.

Yellowcard stopped in Charlotte recently to say goodbye to fans in the area at The Fillmore. The packed venue was filled with people of all ages that came to listen to the band play all of their favorite songs.

Having such an extensive catalog allowed the band to play songs from the beginning of their run as well as songs from the last record, while everyone sang along. It was a great way for fans to say goodbye to a band they’ve come to love over the last two decades.
