Brand New Conquered The Carolina Heat
Music fans from all over North Carolina and surrounding states gathered in Cary last night, in spite of the intense summer heat, to see two of their favorites: Brand New and Modest Mouse. Here are some photos from Brand New’s performance.
Brand New opened up the show before the sun went down and braved the heat along with the rest of us to play some of their best music for over an hour. The two bands were able to sell out the Koka Booth Amphitheater with ease, even with temperatures in the high 90’s. Brand New’s frontman, Jesse Lacey, even commented on it at one point saying, “It’s only the third song and I think I might pass out. It’s hot.” The crowd didn’t seem to mind at all as they sang along and danced for the entirety of Brand New’s performance. Did I mention it was hot?
The band has a long list of dates ahead of them, so be sure to catch them while you can, as it’s now rumored (based on comments from Lacey himself) that they intend on ending their run in 2018.
